Recently (less than 3 months ago) I redesigned my son's, and my master bedroom. My daughter’s bedroom was in really good shape so it wasn’t my priority. But after I was done with ours, I realized that I wanted to pick it up a notch in her bedroom and something that was supposed to be “simple” ended up being a whole new makeover. (If not, ask my husband hahaha)
So here is a before of her bedroom.

Inspiration
There were two things that I had clear before starting this project:
1- She said, “mom, I want the thing (meaning the molding) that you have in your wall”
2- The inspiration pieces are a pair of headpieces that we wore for a special photoshoot celebrating my 10th year anniversary.

Specifics
I started with our budget. Initially, it was $500, but I literally lost count of how much we have spent (Plus, my husband reads the blog and I don't want him to have a heart attack). But you can do the math (Not you husband. Hi honey!!! I love you).
Her bedroom is a standard SMALL (emphasis on the small part 11' x 10') room and that is a challenge!! Weeks ago I gave two options to the followers of the Simple Desert Home's account and they chose the new layout of her bedroom. This next picture.

At that moment, we wanted to keep her bed, dresser, desk (decided to change it after all), and acrylic clear chair. So I knew that I needed to buy paint, molding, bedding set, decor, two nightstands, etc. (I'm pretty sure our mailman hates us hahaha #quarantinevibes).
The headpiece has different shades of pink on it. So it was a matter of finding another object that could help me tie the bedroom together, and I found this gorgeous decorative pillow on Target.

All hands on deck (cough... bedroom)
Accent Wall. She wanted something similar to what I have in my bedroom. So I started to look at different millwork. I surely didn’t know what I was looking for when I started, but as soon as I put my eyes on this piece it was love at first sight. An elegant and exuberant 11.5 inch piece that screams princess and gives an exquisite touch to the wall. I bought a total of 12 pieces. Each piece costs around $11.40 + tax. Additionally, I bought some decorative molding to complete the picture frame or picture box.

The other walls are white. But the door and closet are the same pink shade as the accent wall. After the paint was done, it was a game of waiting. Getting her desk and the rest of the stuff home via mail. Surely, things took longer than I expected, but I'm grateful they all got here.
TIP. Using white on walls creates an illusion of bigger spaces.
Sit back and Relax
She is really happy and over the moon with the result.
She said, "MOM, I don't want to sleep in anyplace ever other than my bedroom".
Without further ado here is the after of my sweet daughter's bedroom...

Time to shop
So here are the links to some of the websites that I shopped for her bedroom.
So let's start with Amazon;
Side tables,
Throw blanket,
Headpieces,
Gold picture frame 5 x 7,
All of the moldings and window treatments are from Lowe's and the paint is BEHR from Home Depot.
But here it's millwork similar to my daughter's,
Her bedding set and desk lamp are from Walmart. Rose pillows and matching lamps are from Target. Decor from Hobby Lobby.
