Ways to refresh a space

When I talk about refreshing a space, I don’t talk about going out and spending a huge amount of money. It’s more like working with what you already have or adding something here and there. Basically, ways of improving your room without doing a full room makeover and spending tons of money.
These are a couple of things you can do to refresh a room
Let’s start with cleaning!!
Cleaning not only helps you to look at the room differently, but it’s free (when I talk cleaning, it's deep cleaning. I mean those dreadful corners and even the chandelier). It will help you notice things that will help with the next step.
Retouch and repair
After a deep cleaning, you will notice places that need a coat of paint or you need to change a light bulb so this is your time to do it and it will improve the room a lot (ugghh… those awful details).
Rearrange
Go bananas!! Move the furniture to other places and see if you like it. Find other ways of improving your space and walking area.
Add some décor
Work with what you have. Shop in your home and move things around. But if you are interested in something more you might want to add a pop of color with some statement pieces. I'm going to throw greenery in this category as well. Plants are an amazing way to change the look of a space. Plus, it makes a room alive.
TIP. Don’t forget about your coffee and side tables.
Lightning
Some ambiance… Add candles or some sconces. It’s always romantic and you don’t have to spend a lot of money on it.
TIP. If you want to invest a little bit more, then I would add lamps or switch the lampshades.
Smell
What about a “room perfume”?
Find a new fragrance on spray, candle, oil, or come up with a homemade recipe. It will make you feel more at home.
Pillows
Enhance your room with new pillows or even a throw blanket. You can add to what you previously have or splurge in new ones to make it more fun. It adds more texture which equals more fun.
Remember, this isn’t about painting walls or investing in new furniture (makeover). It’s more like taking what you have and slightly modify it.
Example. Here's my living room, I like the way that it looks on the first picture, but after adding a couple more pillows (I previously owned) and a pair of candle sconces it changes the whole look.

If you can think of something else, hit me up. I want to hear your recommendations.
